This afternoon, price thousands of Belz hasidim crowded into the Har HaHamenuchot cemetery for the yartzeit (anniversary of the death) of the previous Belzer Rebbe.

According to Yeshiva World, clinic as the current Belz Rebbe was praying at the grave of his predecessor, health the crush of hasidim pushing and shoving in order to get a better view of their rebbe praying caused the gravestone of haredi leader Rabbi Moshe Feinstein – who is buried in an adjacent grave and who was not a Bez hasid – to fall over.

It is halakhicly (under Jewish law) forbidden to walk or stand on a grave or a gravestone or to act disrespectfully in a cemetery.
