Montreal a beautiful jewel metropolis to many people. For those who have never visited here, stomach it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. With a mountain in the middle, a European cosmopolitan flair and culture, many terraces sprawled all over the place as well as a multitude of festivals all packed into one, brings many memorable and wonderful events that bring people to this very beautiful and vibrant city that does not sleep. With festivals such as the Grand Prix Of Canada, The Montreal International Jazz Festival, The Montreal International Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Carifesta, and the Montreal International film Festivals brings something for everyone.
Yesterday, I attended the Montreal International Comedy Festival. I do not usually go to the indoor shows because of the costs. The last time I went to an indoor show was to see Marianne Faithful and I was not disappointed. Usually I go down to see the many outdoor free shows perform at the various stages around the venue. These shows once again show the many talents of many wonderful musicians who showcase their talents in the most popular and renowned Jazz Festivals in the world. It keeps on getting better and better. People travel here from all over the world to visit Montreal and see some unforgettable performers.
An excellent vantage point that I have been doing for the last few years to have a perfect view of the stage without being in the middle of hundreds of thousands of people who completely fill Saint Catherine Street, is to go to the terrace of The Hyatt Regency Hotel, take a seat on the many chairs and outdoor couches and just sit back and listen to the music free of charge. Where do you ever get an opportunity anywhere to listen to some of the greatest music, enjoy the open air atmosphere and be in the company of people who have one thing in mind – to have a great time and for free! The staff at the Hyatt Regency are very nice and they do not bother you for ordering drinks if you do not wish to do so. It is one big party atmosphere in a city known for partying. Congratulations to the organizers of the Montreal International Jazz Festival for making the Festival better and better each year!
